LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 2 UCLA softball team placed eight student-athletes on the NFCA Division I All-West Region Teams, including seven to the First Team. The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the honors Thursday.

Making the NFCA West All-Region First Team are Maya Brady, Megan Faraimo, Brooke Yanez, Sharlize Palacios, Jordan Woolery, Megan Grant and Kennedy Powell. The Bruins' one Third-Team selection was Savannah Pola.

The seven First-Team honorees and eight total selections are tied for the most in program history, matching UCLA's previous mark set in 2021.

The other ace of the Bruins' staff, Brooke Yanez, has now been listed to an All-Region First Team twice in her career, including her Pacific All-Region nod in her last full season with Oregon in 2021. This also marks the third season both Brady and Palacios have been listed to an All-Region team.
