Game times and television networks were announced for the non-conference portion of the 2023 UCLA football schedule Wednesday by the Pac-12 and its broadcast partners.
The Bruins kick off the season under the lights Sept. 2, when defending Sun Belt East Division champion Coastal Carolina visits Rose Bowl Stadium for the programs' first-ever meeting. The matchup of teams that went 9-4 in 2022 begins at 7:30 p.m. PT and airs on ESPN.
UCLA makes its initial visit to Snapdragon Stadium, home of San Diego State, Sept. 9 at 4:30 p.m. CBS is set to broadcast the Bruins' first regular-season visit to San Diego since 2005, when they dealt the Aztecs a 44-21 loss at Qualcomm Stadium.
UCLA welcomes a second Historically Black College and University (HBCU) to the Rose Bowl in as many years Sept. 16, when North Carolina Central checks in for a 2 p.m. contest to be televised by Pac-12 Network. NCCU went 10-2 in 2022 and beat Jackson State in the Cricket Celebration Bowl for the HBCU national championship.
The Bruins also host conference opponents Washington State (Oct. 7), Colorado (Oct. 28), Arizona State (Nov. 11) and California (Nov. 25) in 2023. The regular-season finale against the Golden Bears has been picked up by an ESPN platform to be determined. Road conference games take place at Utah (Sept. 23), Oregon State (Oct. 14), Stanford (Oct. 21), Arizona (Nov. 4) and USC (Nov. 18). Additional television details will be announced in the future.
