Bruins in the NFL: Week 1

Football

Joshua Kelley totaled a career-high 91 rushing yards on Sunday

A total of 19 Bruins saw action in Week 1 of the NFL season. Particular standouts included Los Angeles Chargers running back Joshua Kelley, who had a career-high 91 yards while co-leading the team with 16 rushing attempts, Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Osa Odighizuwa, who had a pair of sacks in a blowout win, and linebacker Eric Kendricks, who posted seven tackles in his first game as a member of the Chargers.

• Krys Barnes, LB, Arizona Cardinals – In his first appearance since signing a free-agent deal with the Cardinals, Barnes had two tackles.
Week 2: Sunday vs. New York Giants – 1:05 p.m. PT (FOX)
• Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seattle Seahawks – Charbonnet totaled 11 yards on three carries in his NFL debut, including a nine-yard scamper in the fourth quarter.
Week 2: Sunday at Detroit – 10 a.m. PT (FOX)
Kenny Clark, NT, Green Bay Packers – Clark started and a did a little bit of everything in a 38-20 Packers win, forcing a fumble and finishing with two tackles, 0.5 sacks, and two QB hits.
Week 2: Sunday at Atlanta – 10 a.m. PT (FOX)
Matt Dickerson, DE, Kansas City Chiefs – Finished with three tackles in the first game of his second stint with Kansas City.  
Week 2: Sunday at Jacksonville – 10:00 a.m. PT (CBS)
Greg Dulcich, TE, Denver Broncos – Starter Dulcich caught two passes for 22 yards.
Week 2: Sunday vs. Washington – 1:25 p.m. PT (CBS)
Ka'imi Fairbairn, K, Houston Texans – Fairbairn connected on all three of his field goal attempts – from 35, 36, and 38 yards out – and had two kickoffs go for touchbacks.  
Week 2: Sunday vs. Indianapolis – 10 a.m. PT (FOX)
Joshua Kelley, RB, Los Angeles Chargers – Kelley totaled a career-high 91 yards on 16 carries on Sunday, including a two-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. His longest rush went for 14 yards.
Week 2: Sunday at Tennessee– 10 a.m. PT (CBS)
Eric Kendricks, LB, Los Angeles Chargers – In his Chargers debut, Kendricks started and finished with seven tackles, second-most on the team.
Week 2: Sunday at Tennessee– 10 a.m. PT (CBS)
Quentin Lake, S, Los Angeles Rams – Had one solo tackle in a 30-13 Rams win.
Week 2: Sunday vs. San Francisco – 1:05 p.m. PT (FOX)
Osa Odighizuwa, DT, Dallas Cowboys – Started the game and finished with two sacks, three QB hits, and four total tackles in the Cowboys' 40-0 triumph.
Week 2: Sunday vs. New York Jets – 1:25 p.m. PT (CBS)
• WR Jake Bobo (Seattle Seahawks), C Jake Brendel (San Francisco 49ers), CB Darnay Holmes (New York Giants), C Andre James (Las Vegas Raiders), TE Marcedes Lewis (Chicago Bears), G Atonio Mafi (New England Patriots), T Kolton Miller (Las Vegas Raiders), DB Fabian Moreau (Denver Broncos), and WR Matthew Slater (New England Patriots) also played, but did not record any statistics.
