Osborne on USBWA Ann Meyers Drysdale Player of the Year Midseason Watch List

January 11, 2023 | Women's Basketball

INDIANAPOLIS – Senior Charisma Osborne has been named to the 21-person U.S. Basketball Writers Association's Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Midseason Watch List, the Association announced Wednesday. The USBWA's list highlights the 21 most outstanding women's players in the country.

The Bruin shooting guard is one of four Pac-12 student-athletes to make the list – she's joined by Cameron Brink and Haley Jones of Stanford and Alissa Pili of Utah.

Osborne has scored a team-leading 261 points (17.4 ppg) in 15 games this season, inching closer to the 1,500-point career benchmark. Osborne needs just 12 points to become the 20th Bruin in UCLA women's basketball history to achieve that mark. The senior guard also leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 6.2 boards per game. Osborne has secured three double-doubles this season (12 points, 13 rebounds vs. UC Riverside, Nov. 10; 29 points, 10 rebounds vs. Troy, Nov. 13; 14 points, 13 rebounds at USC, Dec. 15).
