Muse Named 2023 McDonald’s All American

LOS ANGELES – Incoming UCLA women's basketball player Amanda Muse has been named a McDonald's All American and will compete for the West team in the 2023 McDonald's All-American Game on March 28 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
This marks the second-straight year in which a Bruin signee will play in the celebratory game. Freshmen Kiki Rice and Gabriela Jaquez were named co-MVP's of the 2022 McDonald's All-American Game, scoring 17 points apiece in the game. Their co-MVP performance was the first time in event history that future college teammates earned MVP honors.
Muse, a Brentwood, Calif., native, reached 1,000 career points in high school on Jan. 13, with a 17-point performance against Antioch High School. The to-be Bruin is averaging 15.1 points, 11.4 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per game in her senior season, her fourth year on varsity. Muse ranks No. 32 in espnW's HoopGurlz high school rankings for the class of 2023 and is fifth among her post player peers.
