THE MATCHUP
No. 18 AP/22 US LBM Coaches UCLA, a winner in 16 of its past 21 games, travels to play No. 15/No.14 Oregon State Saturday at 5 p.m. PT. This represents the third of three straight UCLA matchups with ranked opponents (lost at No. 11/10 Utah Sept. 23 and won versus No. 13/14 Washington State Oct. 7).
Saturday's battle marks the first between the programs in Corvallis, Ore. since a 41-0 Bruin win in 2015. The most recent gridiron meeting between the schools ended in a 48-31 Beaver victory at the Rose Bowl during the 2019 campaign. The Bruins are looking for their first road win against a ranked opponent since beating No. 19 WSU, 67-63, in 2019.
Saturday's battle with the Beavers at Reser Stadium will be televised by FOX, with coverage beginning at 5 p.m. The Bruin IMG Radio Network will broadcast the contest, which will also be aired over SiriusXM and the Varsity App.
SERIES HISTORY
UCLA leads the series, which dates back to a 1930 meeting in Los Angeles, by a 43-17-4 count. The programs are meeting in Corvallis, Ore. for the first time since 2015. They most recently met at the Rose Bowl in 2019. This is the first time in the series that Oregon State has been the higher-ranked team heading into the game since a 2000 meeting between No. 19 Oregon State and No. 23 UCLA. The Beavers won that matchup 44-38.

MOST RECENT MEETINGS
In UCLA's most recent trip to Corvallis, Ore., Bruin true-freshman QB Josh Rosen threw two touchdown passes to Thomas Duarte in a 41-0 victory against Oregon State in cold, rainy conditions. Rosen was 22-for-33 for 333 yards in three quarters of action. The Bruins racked up 676 yards against the Beavers on the day. UCLA limited Oregon State to 246 yards and forced four turnovers. It was the Bruins' first shutout since 2007 against Oregon (16-0) and the first on the road since 1987 versus Stanford (49-0).
In the most recent meeting between the programs, Oregon State handed the Bruins a 48-31 setback at the Rose Bowl in 2019, thanks to five passing scores by QB Jake Luton โ three to Isaiah Hodgins. UCLA's Demetric Felton Jr. had 111 yards rushing โ including a career-long 75-yard touchdown in the third quarter โ and 55 yards receiving. QB Austin Burton was 27 of 41 for 236 yards and a touchdown in his first start for the Bruins.
