The Bruins and Team IMPACT
Team IMPACT is a non-profit organization that services children facing serious and chronic illnesses, matching kids with college athletics programs that provide support, relationships and social opportunities to children who spend less time with their peers due to these illnesses.
Massimo is the 12th child matched with UCLA athletic programs and becomes the sixth active member of the Team IMPACT partnership on campus. Other Bruin programs that actively support Team IMPACT children include football, women's basketball, women's water polo, baseball and women's volleyball. UCLA men's volleyball recently graduated a child from their Team IMPACT program.
"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Massimo to our team for the next two years," said UCLA men's soccer head coach Ryan Jorden. "It should be a tremendous experience for everyone involved, and we're excited to build our relationship with Massimo while helping contribute to the great work that Team Impact is doing around the country."
Founded in 2011, Team IMPACT has matched more than 2,300 children with 700+ colleges and universities in 49 states, impacting more than 60,000 student-athletes. If you know a child or team who may be interested, please visit www.teamimpact.org.
