TUCSON, Ariz. – Cheridyn Leverette recorded the first double-double of her career with 14 kills and 12 digs in the UCLA women's volleyball team's four-set loss to Arizona at the McKale Center Friday night.

Anna Dodson led the Bruins (9-5, 1-4) with 16.5 points by way of six blocks and 13 kills at a .667 hitting percentage. Grayce Olson also scored double-digit kills with 11.

Leading the Wildcats' (5-10, 1-4) attack was Jaelyn Hodge with 16 kills. Arizona saw two double-double performances from Sofia Maldonado Diaz (11 kills, 13 digs) and Ana Heath (35 assists, 15 digs).

Large runs at the service line by Hodge and Joy Galles in set on propelled Arizona out to a 17-9 lead. Arizona totaled 15 kills at an efficient .500 rate with four blocks in the frame.

More tough Wildcat serving, this time courtesy of Diaz, pushed Arizona to a five-point lead in set two at 19-14. The Bruins cut the deficit to two points at 22-20 thanks to kills by Iman Ndiaye, Leverette and Dodson. Diaz and Nicole Briggs stuffed an attack by Olson to bring set point to the line. Heath dealt the Wildcats' fourth service ace of the set to secure the 2-0 advantage.

The Bruins came out of the break and jumped to an early 8-3 lead with a block and three kills. Mullen, who led a 3-0 run from the service line in that stretch, sparked a 5-0 run with two service aces to give UCLA a 23-13 edge. She assisted on a kill to Dodson for set point.

The Bruins look to salvage their road trip in Sunday's contest at No. 23 Arizona State at 1 p.m. (PT) in Mullett Arena. Fans can watch via the Arizona State Livestream.
