LOS ANGELES – Outside hitter Iman Ndiaye has been named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week following the UCLA women's volleyball team's two wins over Oregon State and No. 24 USC.
This marks the first weekly honor of Ndiaye's career.
Ndiaye posted back-to-back 20-kill performances to end the regular season. The redshirt senior recorded a career-high 23 kills at a .368 clip to go along with nine digs in the Bruins' (18-12, 10-10) five-set victory at Oregon State on Wednesday, Nov. 22.
Two days later against crosstown rival USC, Ndiaye led UCLA with 21 kills at a .313 rate in addition to eight digs and five block assists. Ndiaye tallied two of the Bruins' final three points to help bring match point to the line. She helped secure UCLA's third top-25 win of the season and second on the road in the last three weeks.
Ndiaye ended the season with a bang, recording the two highest single-match point totals of her career against the Beavers and Trojans with 24.5 points in each.
Ndiaye finished the season with four 20-kill outings and five double-doubles. Both marks led the team. She paced the Bruins in several significant categories: kills (375), kills per set (3.18), points (441.0) and points per set (3.74). Ndiaye also established season highs in total blocks (87.0) and digs (220). She more than quadrupled her former season high in digs of 51 set in 2022. Ndiaye, who entered the year averaging 0.42 digs per set in her previous three seasons, averaged 1.86 digs per set in 2023.
She led all UCLA pin hitters with a .265 hitting percentage.
