Three Bruins Receive CSC Academic All-District

Dueck, Leverette and Ndiaye all up for CSC Academic All-American consideration.

LOS ANGELES – Peyton Dueck, Cheridyn Leverette and Iman Ndiaye on the UCLA women's volleyball team were selected to the 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, it was announced Tuesday morning.
 
The three student-athletes move on to CSC Academic All-America consideration, which will be announced Jan. 9, 2024.
 
Ndiaye will be receiving her bachelor's degree in communications in Spring 2024. Dueck, a junior in 2023, is pursuing a degree in sociology while Leverette, a sophomore, is undecided on a major.
 
Ndiaye was named to the AVCA Pacific South All-Region Team and All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention this season after leading the Bruins with 441.0 points (3.74 PPS) and 375 kills (3.18 KPS). She ranked 11th in the conference in kills, recording four 20-kill performances. Ndiaye put a cap to her senior year by earning Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors following back-to-back 20-kill outings in road victories over Oregon State and No. 24 USC. She also tallied the first five double-doubles of her career in 2023.
 
Leverette ranked third on the squad with 288 kills (2.77 KPS) and led UCLA with 25 service aces (0.24 SA/S) in her sophomore campaign. The Hampton, Ga. native recorded 17 double-digit kill outings and was UCLA's kills leader in four matches. She plans on pursuing a career in sports journalism upon graduation.
 
Dueck started in 28 matches at libero in her junior season and second year at UCLA. The Aptos, Calif. native led UCLA and ranked 11th in the Pac-12 with 358 digs (3.14 DPS). Dueck notched two 20-dig performances, including a season-high 22 digs and 12 assists in a four-set victory over Pepperdine on Sept. 7. Dueck will be pursuing a career as a real estate agent upon graduation.
