UCLA Gymnastics Opens Season Ranked No. 5

UCLA will enter the 2024 season ranked No. 5 in the preseason rankings, as voted upon by the coaches of the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA). The Bruins have ranked in the Top 10 of every preseason poll of record since 1997.
The defending NCAA champion Oklahoma earned the No. 1 ranking with 36 first-place votes and 1709 total points. The No. 2-6 teams all received at least one first-place vote – No. 2 Florida (3), No. 3 LSU (5), No. 4 Utah (2), No. 5 UCLA (1) and No. 6 Michigan (1). Rounding out the Top 10 are No. 7 California, No. 8 Alabama, No. 9 Kentucky and No. 10 Denver.
All eight Pac-12 schools are ranked in the Top 25, with No. 13 Oregon State, No. 19 Arizona State, No. 20 Stanford, No. 21 Washington and No. 22 Arizona joining the Top 10 trio of Utah, California and UCLA.
UCLA hosts its Meet the Bruins season preview on Friday, Dec. 15 at 7pm in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom. The event is free and open to the public. It will also be televised on the Pac-12 Network. Bruin fans will be treated to a sneak peek of UCLA's new routines.
The Bruins will host five regular season home meets in 2024, beginning with the home opener on Jan. 28 against Washington at 6pm. UCLA also hosts home meets against Arizona on Feb. 4, Utah on Feb. 19, California on Feb. 25 and No. 35 Clemson in its inaugural season on Mar. 16. UCLA also has a Top 5 matchup against No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 3 LSU and No. 4 Utah on Jan. 13 at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad in West Valley City, Utah, along with a quad meet at No. 10 Denver with Oklahoma and Stanford.
