THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – With its dual-match opener approaching Wednesday, the UCLA men's tennis team brought in 2024 with three days of singles and doubles contests at Sherwood Country Club.

The Sherwood Collegiate Cup assembled No. 7 USC, No. 19 Texas A&M, California and the Bruins for the latest chapter of its event. The hidden-dual format was utilized and UCLA played at least singles matches and three doubles contests each day.

Sunday against their crosstown rivals, the Bruins won four out of five singles matchups and all three doubles tilts. UCLA prevailed at least twice on the doubles courts each day. Timothy Li and Giacomo Revelli teamed for two victories without a loss. They knocked off the 47th-ranked Trojan tandem of Samuel Rubell and Niroop Vallabhaneni Sunday.

Jeffrey Fradkin, Spencer Johnson and Govind Nanda each won twice in singles play. Johnson downed No. 73 Lodewijk Weststrate of USC Sunday.
