LOS ANGELES – UCLA sophomore guard Dylan Andrews has been recognized as the Pac-12 Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his career, as announced by the Pac-12 office on Monday.
 
Andrews averaged 19.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 steals in UCLA's two home wins last week. He shot 53.6 percent from the field and was 5-for-6 from beyond the 3-point arc (83.3). In addition, Andrews was 4-for-4 at the free throw line. Through the two wins, Andrews totaled 10 assists (three turnovers) and three steals.
 
UCLA (11-11, 6-5 Pac-12) has won five of its last six games, including a pair of wins against Oregon State and Oregon last week. Andrews scored 18 points and tallied three assists in UCLA's 71-63 victory over Oregon State last Thursday night. Two days later, he registered a team-leading 21 points, connecting on 9-of-16 shots, as the Bruins recorded a 71-63 win against Oregon. Andrews was a perfect 3-for-3 from 3-point distance against the visiting Ducks, totaling seven assists and just two turnovers.
 
Andrews, a 6-foot-2 guard from Gardena, Calif., has become UCLA's first player to secure the Pac-12's weekly award since Jaime Jaquez Jr. during the final week of the regular season last year. Jaquez Jr. was recognized three times last season as the Pac-12 Player of the Week. Andrews picked up the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week award earlier last season (Dec. 12, 2022) after an 11-point and six-assist performance in a win against Denver.
 
Andrews has averaged 11.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 21 games as a sophomore this season.
 
UCLA returns to action on the road this week, playing at Stanford and California. The Bruins' game at Stanford this Wednesday evening will be televised by the Pac-12 Network (6 p.m., PT). UCLA's upcoming contest at California on Saturday will be televised by FOX, set to tip-off just after 2:30 p.m. (PT).
