Women’s Golf Places Second at Silicon Valley Showcase

MILLBRAE, Calif. – The No. 2 UCLA women's golf team finished second at 40-over 892 at the Silicon Valley Showcase at Green Hills Country Club Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Bruins shot 15-over 299 in Tuesday's final round. Winning the tournament by 35 strokes was No. 9 Pepperdine at 5-over 857. The Waves' Jeneath Wong shot 7-under to win the individual title by four strokes. Only two golfers in the 59-student-athlete field finished under par.
 
Four Bruins finished in the top 10, led by Natalie Vo who competed individually. Vo tied for third at 2-over (70-74-71) for the best finish in her collegiate career. Her previous career best was a t-14th placement at the Barbara Nicklaus Cup when she was attending Colorado during the 2022-23 season.
 
Placing seventh was Zoe Antoinette Campos at 4-over (71-76-70). Right behind Campos was Caroline Canales in eighth at 5-over (72-75-71). Kate Villegas tied for 10th at 8-over (75-68-78).
 
UCLA's next competition is at the PING/ASU Invitational from March 28-30 at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Ariz. The Bruins last competed at the course last season at the 2023 Pac-12 Championships.
