LOS ANGELES – Thirty-one UCLA student-athletes will compete at next week's NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field West First Rounds from Wednesday, May 22, through Saturday, May 25. The four-day qualifying meet will occur at John McDonnell Field on the University of Arkansas campus.
 
Qualifying student-athletes advance on to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held in Eugene, Ore., from June 5-8 at Hayward Field.
 
Athletes who rank among the top 48 in their respective event earn a berth into the NCAA West First Rounds. In addition, the best 24 relays times advance to the NCAA preliminaries. Athletes with the top 12 times/marks and the best 12 relay teams at both the East and West First Rounds sites will qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene.
