UCLA women's golf rising senior Zoe Antoinette Campos, fresh off an Arnold Palmer Cup victory with Team USA last week, was selected as one of three Americans to represent the Red, White and Blue at the upcoming Curtis Cup this summer.
The top three Americans in the Women's Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) determine the Team USA roster. Campos is the top-ranked American woman and fifth woman across the globe as of the latest WAGR on July 10. Joining Campos on Team USA are Catherine Park and Jasmine Koo of USC.
The 43rd Curtis Cup, taking place Aug. 30-Sept. 1 at Sunningdale Golf Club in England, is considered the most prestigious team trophy for women amateur golfers and contested biennially by teams representing Great Britain and Ireland and the United States.
Last Sunday on July 7, Campos secured her second title as a member of Team USA at the Arnold Palmer Cup at Lahinch Golf Club in Ireland. The Americans defeated Team International by a mark of 32.5-27.5. Campos went 1-2-1 in her matches with a 1UP foursome victory.
Campos wrapped up another successful season in 2023-24, being named a consensus First Team All-American, an ANNIKA Award Top 10 Finalist and All-Pac-12 First Team selection. The Valencia, Calif. product led the Bruins with four individual medals, which is tied for the most in UCLA single-season history. Campos also paced the squad with a 70.7 scoring average, nine top-10 finishes and 21 rounds under par.
Campos went 5-1-0 in match play competition and ousted her opponent in the NCAA Championship final match with a convincing 4&3 victory.
