Redshirt senior Travis Drosos on the UCLA football team was one of 30 student-athletes to be named to The Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List, which is presented to the nation's top collegiate FBS long snapper. The Award, named after 16-year NFL veteran Patrick Mannelly, benefits Bernie's Book Bank, a non-profit that provides books for underserved communities in the Chicago, Illinois area.

This will be the sixth year the Award has been presented to the top snapper. Drosos is one of seven long snappers from the Big Ten Conference to make the Watch List.

Drosos will make his Bruins' debut in 2024 after spending the 2021-2023 seasons as the long snapper at South Alabama. In 2023, Drosos was the Jaguars' long snapper in all 13 contests and helped South Alabama on the punting unit 42 times with an average of 40.21 yards per punt. Drosos was the snapper on 14 made field goals.

Prior to South Alabama, Drosos handled long snapping duties on punts and field goal/extra point attempts in three games at Colorado during the 2020 season.

Ten semifinalists for the Mannelly Award will be announced on November 11, 2024.  Those names will be narrowed to three finalists announced on November 25, 2024 and the winner is to be selected at the live Award ceremony in Lake Bluff on December 14, 2024.
