LOS ANGELES – Senior Lilly Reale of UCLA Women's Soccer has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week for competitions held between Aug. 20-26.

The center back scored the game-winning goal at Cal Poly on Aug. 22, assisted on the game-winner against No. 11 Santa Clara on Aug. 25, and led the Bruin defense to a pair of shutouts in their two 1-0 victories this weekend. In the 70th minute of a scoreless game at Cal Poly, Reale made an incredible 85-yard run, going coast-to-coast before her second-effort far post goal went in for the eventual game-winner. Against Santa Clara, she started the play that led to the game's only goal, sending a pass on a free kick to Bridgette Marin-Valencia, who set Sofia Cook up for the game-winner. Reale played in 90 minutes in both shutout wins, allowing just 10 shots total and three shots on goal combined.

The Bruin defense has not allowed a goal all season and is limiting opponents to an average of just 3.5 shots and 1.25 shots on goal.

Reale secures her first-career UCLA student-athlete of the week award.
