LAKE ELMO, Minn. – The No. 3 UCLA women's golf team shot a 5-under 283 in the final round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at Royal Golf Club on Wednesday to rise four spots into sixth place (+7, 871). Senior Caroline Canales was the Bruins' top finisher, tying for sixth at -4 for the tournament.
 
Four total UCLA golfers shot under par on the final day.
 
South Carolina shot -31 (276-281-276) captured the 2024 ANNIKA title in landslide fashion, defeating runner-up Oregon by 27 strokes. The Gamecocks' duo of Hannah Darling (-14) and Louise Rydqvist (-13) finished 1-2 on the individual leaderboard.
 
Canales shot a 1-under 71 in the third round with two birdies on a bogey-free front nine after starting the day on hole 10.
 
Senior Tiffany Le shot UCLA's lowest round of day three with a 2-under 70. Le caught fire midway through the front nine with birdies on holes 4, 5 and 7.
 
Campos finished the tournament in the top 20 with a tie for 16th at +1. The Valencia, Calif. native recorded birdies on two of her last three holes on the par-3 7th and par-5 9th to get to under par for the day.
 
Natalie Vo signed off on a 1-under 71 to finish in a tie for 54th at +13.
 
UCLA returns to action at the end of the month at the Windy City Collegiate Classic (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) in Wilmette, Ill. where it will seek to defend its 2023 title.

Campos, Le Rise on Day Two at ANNIKA Intercollegiate

Seniors Zoe Antoinette Campos and Tiffany Le both shot an even-par 72 to rise 10 and 14 spots, respectively, on day two of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at Royal Golf Club Tuesday.
 
The Bruins head into tomorrow's final round in 10th place (+12; 293-295) out of 12 teams. South Carolina (-19; 276-281) owns a 17-shot lead on second-place Wake Forest.
 
After starting +3 on her first two holes of the day, Campos rattled off a string of three birdies on par-4s 13-14-15 and birdied two of her final three holes. Campos is +2 for the tournament and in a tie for 21st.
 
Le birdied four times and recorded UCLA's first eagle of the season on her final hole of the day on the par-5 9th. She is +4 for the tournament and in a tie for 29th.
 
Caroline Canales leads the Bruins' lineup in a tie for sixth (-3) after shooting 2-over 74 in her second round. Canales, who started the day on hole 10, parred every hole on the back nine and birdied twice on the par-4 1st and 3rd holes. The Calabasas native trails the clubhouse leader Hannah Darling (-10; 67-67) from South Carolina by seven strokes.

Canales Fires 67 in Opening Round at ANNIKA Intercollegiate

Caroline Canales opened her senior year with a 5-under 67 in the first round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at Royal Golf Club on Monday. Canales is in a six-way tie for second and one stroke back of clubhouse leader Katie Li from Duke.
 
The Bruins are in ninth place (+5, 293) in the 12-team field. South Carolina and Wake Forest own a share of the lead at 12-under (276).
 
Canales, who started her round on the par-4 10th, closed the final 10 holes 6-under with six birdies. Canales' 67 is the second-lowest 18-hole score of her collegiate career and her best mark since the 2023 The Match in the Desert where she posted a 7-under 65.
 
Zoe Antoinette Campos scattered four birdies and six bogeys for a 2-over 74 in her first round of 18 in the college season, putting her in a tie for 31st. Senior Tiffany Le and freshman Angela Liu are both tied for 43rd after shooting a pair of 4-over 76s. Liu recorded her first birdie as a Bruin on the par-5 18th.
