UCLA Set for 2024 Big Ten Cross Country Championships

The UCLA cross country team is slated to participate in its first-ever Big Ten postseason event on Friday, Nov. 1, as all 18 league schools converge in Savoy, Ill. for the 2024 Big Ten Cross Country Championships.
The Bruins will run at the University of Illinois' Blue and Orange Course alongside all other 17 B1G schools. Each Big Ten institution will have women's teams in competition, while 15 will have men's teams running.
The day starts off with the women's 6k starting at 8:35 a.m. PT (10:30 a.m. CT) followed by the men's 8k at 9:35 a.m. PT (11:35 a.m. CT).
Both races will be televised on the Big Ten Network starting at 8:30 a.m. PT. Dean Linke (play by play), Sara Kroll (analyst), and Declan Murray (analyst) will be on the call.

The Bruin women are coming off a fifth-place result at Oregon's Bill Dellinger Invite, giving them a pair of top-five finishes over three regular season races. Mia Kane has posted UCLA's top time in the 6k this year, going 20:39.9 at the Dellinger Invite to earn 12th place.
The men's season meanwhile has been highlighted by a sixth-place finish at the Dellinger Invite by Michael Mireles, whose 23:04.8 represented a new PR. Both Everett Capelle and Patrick Curulla recorded top-five finishes at the season-opening tri-race with UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara.
