Artem Vovk Named Big Ten Men's Soccer Freshman of the Week

Artem Vovk of the UCLA men's soccer team has been named the Big Ten Conference Men's Soccer Freshman of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Vovk tallied the second goal on Friday in UCLA's 2-2 draw on the road with Penn State. The freshman recorded three shots, with two coming on target in 45 minutes off the bench for the Bruins.
For the season, Vovk has made three appearances for UCLA, scoring two goals across 138 minutes of action. He has 10 shots with four coming on goal to go along with his two goals in 2024. In games Vovk appears in the Bruins are 1-1-1 and have outscored their opponents 7-4.
This is the first conference award of his career for Vovk.
Up Next: The Bruins return to action on Friday, hosting No. 4 Ohio State at Wallis Annenberg Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.
