Lutkemeyer Tabbed Big Ten Player of the Week

ROSEMONT, Ill. โ Junior Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer earned UCLA's third Big Ten Women's Tennis Player of the Week award Wednesday on the heels of securing her first career NCAA Championships singles berth.
Lutkemeyer shined at the ITA West Sectional Championships, capturing the event's singles title and qualifying for NCAAs in the process. She beat four nationally-ranked foes โ including No. 36 Grace Piper of USC on her home court โ before taking down freshman-phenom teammate Kate Fakih in the final.
Lutkemeyer also teamed with Ahmani Guichard to beat two top-50 pairs and earn the doubles consolation crown.
The award is Lutkemeyer's first and UCLA's third of the fall. Fakih was honored Sept. 25 and Oct. 23.
