Big Ten Conference Announces 2025 Football Dates

ROSEMONT, Ill. โ The Big Ten Conference announced its 2025 football schedule Wednesday, providing dates for UCLA's slate of nine league games.
The Bruins open their year Aug. 30 at home against former Pac-12 mate Utah. Conference play begins Sept. 27 at Northwestern and proceeds through the Nov. 29 finale at crosstown rival USC. The home schedule also includes first-time regular-season visits to the Rose Bowl Stadium for New Mexico (Sept. 13), Penn State (Oct. 4) and Maryland (Oct. 18).
Season-ticket deposits can be placed NOW to guarantee seats at the Rose Bowl for UCLA's 2025 campaign. Times and television details for all games will be released in the future.
UCLA holds a 12-9 all-time record versus Utah, with the programs splitting ranked matchups in 2022 and 2023. A trip to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas follows on Sept. 6, as the Bruins take on UNLV. Non-conference play wraps up with New Mexico visiting America's Stadium.
Following a bye, the UCLA visits Northwestern. Tied 3-3 in the all-time series, UCLA and NU have met just once since 1970. Penn State ventures out to Pasadena, Calif. Oct. 4, looking to even the head-to-head history at four wins apiece. The host Nittany Lions defeated the Bruins in 2023. UCLA's first time in Spartan Stadium since 1973 takes place when it clashes with Michigan State Oct. 11.
The Bruins will break a longstanding 1-1 series deadlock with Maryland Oct. 18. The programs have not met since 1955. An Oct. 25 visit to Indiana's Memorial Stadium โ UCLA's first in program history โ comes next. The Bruins' second bye is followed by a Nov. 8 showdown with Nebraska at the Rose Bowl. UCLA beat the Cornhuskers 27-20 on the road in 2024.
The homestretch of the season starts with a trip to Ohio Stadium Nov. 15. The Bruins split their most recent meetings with Ohio State in 1999 and 2001. Head coach DeShaun Foster starred on both teams as a running back. Washington checks in to Pasadena Nov. 22. UCLA downed the 15th-ranked Huskies 40-32 at the Rose Bowl in 2022 and has a 42-33-2 all-time advantage. The Bruins then travel across town for a Nov. 29 contest with USC. The programs have alternated wins each year since 2020.
