LOS ANGELES – UCLA Women's Basketball heads north to face a familiar foe in its Big Ten Conference opener. The Bruins take on the Washington Huskies on Sunday, Dec. 8 inside Alaska Airlines Arena at 2 p.m. in Seattle.
The game will be broadcast to Big Ten Plus with Elise Woodward and Charli Turner-Thorne on the call; Dave Marcus will also provide play-by-play commentary on UCLA Digital Radio.
Undefeated UCLA (8-0, 0-0 Big Ten) is coming off a three-game holiday tournament in Hawai'i; three Bruins were named to the All-Tournament Team after UCLA claimed the Rainbow Wahine Showdown championship trophy.
Junior Lauren Betts was named the Most Valuable Player for the tournament; the center was joined by Gabriela Jaquez and Kiki Rice on the American Savings Bank Rainbow Wahine Showdown All-Tournament Team. Mia Jacobs (Fresno State), Ritorya Tamila (Hawai'i) and Lily Wahinekapu (Hawai'i) were recognized alongside the three Bruins as all-tournament honorees.
