SEATTLEย -- No. 1 UCLA (21-4) posted a pair of dual victories on Friday at the Pac-12 Northย Invitational, posting a 4-1 win over No. 7 California and a 5-0 sweep of Utah at Alki Beach Park. The Golden Bears dropped to 16-8 on the year and the Utesย fell to 16-9.

The Bruins improved to 16-0 all-time against the California Golden Bearsย and also improved to 5-0 all-time against the Utah Utes.
To begin the morning dual against California, junior Natalie Myszkowski and redshirt freshman Ensley Aldenย sealed the Bruins' win on court five, defeating Portia Sherman and Ella Dreibholzย in two identical sets of 21-15.
In the afternoon dual against Utah, the junior duo of Reagan Hope and Madeline Bonanni clinched the Bruins' win on court five with a 21-12,ย 21-14 win over Milan Ray and Gwen Fife. It marked the first official win of Bonanni, who was 3-0 with Hope in exhibition action this season. For Hope, it was just her second win (in two tries) in her Bruin career. Redshirt freshman Kenzie Brower and graduate student Rileigh Powers completed the sweep on court three with a 21-12, 21-16 win over Lauren Sayre and Chloe Narancich. It marked just the second appearance of the year for Powers, who improved to 2-0 on the year.
