HONOLULU – UCLA women's tennis completed its first matches of 2025 Friday at the University of Hawaii Tennis Complex, site of the Rainbow Wahine Spring Invitational. In addition to the Bruins, members of the California and Hawaii teams are participating.

UCLA won all five of its doubles contests and four of its seven singles players prevailed. Each of its three ranked singles standouts – No. 38 Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer, No. 41 Kate Fakih and No. 53 Elise Wagle – was triumphant. Wagle outlasted No. 81 Berta Passola Folch of Cal 6-7(3), 7-5, 6-3. The 36th-ranked doubles combination of Lutkemeyer and Ahmani Guichard won twice.
