LOS ANGELES – UCLA Women's Basketball (17-0, 6-0 B1G) head to Newark, N.J., to play Baylor University (15-3, 5-1 Big 12) at the inaugural Coretta Scott King Classic on Monday, Jan. 20.
The teams meet at the Prudential Center for the historic basketball event Monday at 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET. The Bruins and Bears face off on FOX as the first game of the doubleheader.
"To be a part of excellent competition against Baylor and having national exposure is always special," said the Michael Price Family UCLA Women's Head Basketball Coach Cori Close. "When you can couple it with such an amazing, important cause and recognition in the Coretta Scott King Classic – acknowledging the great work of the King family – that's really unique. The matchup will be the 11th meeting between the teams, with Baylor holding a 7-3 advantage in the all-time series between the programs. UCLA claimed victory in the most recent battle between the Bruins and Bears, winning 82-68 on Nov. 18, 2017, in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom.
