Tickets to the Jan. 25 UCLA Gymnastics meet vs. Illinois will be donated to individuals impacted by the Southern California wildfires, as well as first responders. The meet, UCLA's first-ever Big Ten Conference home competition, will take place at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom at 2 p.m.
Individuals can claim up to eight general admission tickets at the Pauley Pavilion box office on meet day. Up to 1,000 total tickets will be covered by UCLA Health, UCLA Gymnastics' season sponsor. The box office opens at 12:30 p.m.
The eighth-ranked UCLA Gymnastics team dedicated its last meet to the Los Angeles firefighters, wearing red and black ribbons to symbolize the Thin Red Line of Courage.
For those wishing to contribute to emergency efforts, UCLA Health's dedicated fund supports the efforts of the Red Cross to provide emergency shelters, meals, medical care, emotional support and recovery planning services. Bruins can also donate to the Red Cross general fund for disaster relief and volunteer. Those seeking shelter or disaster relief services in Los Angeles can find them here.
