UCLA Vaulters, Distance Runners to Compete at UW Invite

A select group from the UCLA track & field team, composing mostly of pole vaulters and distance runners, will head to Seattle this weekend to compete in the UW Invitational, hosted by Washington. 

The two-day meet, which runs Jan. 31-Feb.1, will be hosted at the Dempsey Indoor Center on the campus of the University of Washington. 

Other participating teams besides the Bruins and host Huskies include Gonzaga, Boise State, California, Fresno State, San Francisco, TCU, St. Mary's, Oregon State, and Washington State. 

Live results can be viewed HERE. Events are scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. PT on Friday and 10 a.m. PT on Saturday. 

The Bruins are coming off an impressive first two weeks of the indoor season. UCLA had six event wins and two school records at the season-opening Spokane Sports Showcase, then added 10 podium finishes and six new entries in the school's all-time top-10 lists at last weekend's Crossroads of America Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind.
