LOS ANGELES – Former UCLA softball student-athlete and 2024 NFCA All-American catcher Sharlize Palacios will begin her broadcasting career as an analyst on several Big Ten Plus live streams this spring.
 
Palacios makes her debut in the booth on Thursday, Feb. 6 when UCLA takes on Cal State Fullerton at 6 p.m. (PT) in its 2025 season opener at Easton Stadium. Palacios has signed on to broadcast more than 10 of UCLA's scheduled home games set to be live streamed on Big Ten Plus this season, including all four home games in week one.
 
The Chula Vista, Calif. native graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in sociology in 2024. A two-year letterwinner for the Bruins, Palacios finished her time in Westwood with a .341 batting average (91-for-267), 30 home runs and 90 runs batted in. Palacios helped UCLA reach the Women's College World Series in her senior season in 2024 after pacing the team with 20 home runs. Last season, Palacios earned All-Pac-12 First Team and All-Defensive Team honors in addition to winning Pac-12 Tournament MVP.
