HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The No. 25-ranked UCLA women's golf team placed 14th out of 17 teams with a score of +57, 909 (301-303-305) at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Golf Club on Wednesday. The Bruins shot +21, 305 in today's final round.
Play was halted this morning due to inclement weather conditions, but resumed at approximately 12:30 p.m. (ET). UCLA started the final round on hole 10.
No. 22 LSU clinched the team title with a tiebreaker for non-counting scores. Course host and No. 5 South Carolina finished runner-up. Both schools finished the 54 holes at +11, 863.
Arkansas' Kendall Todd and South Carolina's Louise Rydqvist earned co-medalist honors as the only golfers in the 90-player field to finish under par at -1, 212.
Freshmen Francesca Fiorellini and Angela Liu were UCLA's top overall finishers, both tying for 52nd at +13, 226. Fiorellini and Liu carded a pair of +5, 76 scores in round three.
Senior Tiffany Le recorded the Bruins' best score of the third round with a +4, 75. She finished in a tie for 68th. Le tallied a team-high four birdies on Wednesday, all of which came on the front nine. She knocked her score down from +7 to +4 thanks to birdies on three of her final five holes.

UCLA's next competition is the third annual Battle for the Bell versus crosstown rival USC on March 17 at Palos Verdes Golf Club in the South Bay of Los Angeles. The Battle for the Bell is a match play format competition. The Bruins won both of the first two events.

Freshman Francesca Fiorellini recorded the Bruins' best score of the day with a +2, 73, rising 15 spots into a tie for 46th at 8-over. Fiorellini recorded birdies on back-to-back holes on the par-4 fifth and par-5 sixth.
Senior Natalie Vo made UCLA's most spectacular shot of the tournament thus far with a hole-out eagle on the sixth.

The Bruins sit in 15th and trail first-place Arkansas by 13 strokes heading into tomorrow's second round. There are 11 top-25 programs in the 17-team field. Razorbacks' golfer Kendall Todd owns a one-shot lead on the individual leaderboard at -3, 68. Only six golfers in the 90-player field finished under par on day one.
UCLA's top performers were senior Tiffany Le and freshman Maye Huang who each shot +3, 74 and are in a tie for 36th. The Bruins started round one on hole 10, and Le was the only UCLA golfer to get through the first nine even par. Le parred her first 13 holes before a string of three straight bogeys on holes 5-7. She bounced back with a birdie on eight before a bogey on her final hole.
Huang also rebounded from a three-bogey stretch on holes 17, 18 and one with four straight pars and a birdie on hole six.
Freshmen Angela Liu (T-51st) and Francesca Fiorellini (T-61st) rounded out the Bruins' counting scores on day one with a +5, 76 and +6, 77, respectively.
