Men's Tennis Collects ITA Academic Honors

UCLA earned sixth consecutive All-Academic Team award, while seven student-athletes were recognized.

TEMPE, Ariz. – ITA Academic Awards were distributed Monday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and included honors for the UCLA men's tennis team and seven of its student-athletes.

UCLA was named an ITA All-Academic Team after registering a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2 or better across the 2024-25 academic year. Head coach Billy Martin has now had six consecutive teams earn the award.

ITA Scholar-Athletes must have GPAs of 3.5 or better for 2024-25 to be recognized. Seniors Alexander Hoogmartens and Giacomo Revelli, junior Gianluca Ballotta, redshirt sophomore Emon van Loben Sels and freshmen Kaylan Bigun, Cassius Chinlund and Andrei Crabel made the cut.

Hoogmartens and Revelli became four-time Scholar-Athletes with their latest honors. Ballotta and van Loben Sels each joined the club for the second time, with both also earning spots in 2023. Bigun, Chinlund and Crabel each qualified in his first year eligible.
