LOS ANGELES – UCLA's Andreas Dybdahl has been named the Big Ten Conference Men's Cross Country Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
A redshirt freshman, Dybdahl becomes the first Bruin in program history to receive a weekly award from the Big Ten Conference.
The Santa Barbara, Calif. native placed 22nd overall in the Bill Dellinger Invitational, hosted by Oregon, over the weekend with a time of 23:59.50. His time was fastest among all Big Ten freshmen in the race, and was second among all Bruins behind Kai Mitchell-Reiss's 12:49.85.
The Bruins' full roster is next in action at the 2025 Big Ten Championships on Friday, Oct. 31 in East Lansing, Mich.
