UCLA Men's Soccer Earns NCAA Tournament Berth

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA men's soccer team earned an automatic spot in the NCAA Tournament by winning the Big Ten Conference Tournament and will host Grand Canyon in the first round of the tournament on Thursday, November 20.
The winner of UCLA and GCU will face the No. 9 overall seed University of San Diego in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. That game will take place on Sunday, November 24 and will be hosted by San Diego.
UCLA earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament emphatically. The Bruins won their final five games, outscored their opponents 21-5, won at No. 1-ranked Maryland in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals 2-0, and won the Big Ten Tournament final over No. 3 Michigan, 5-0.
The Bruins are one of five Big Ten programs to earn bids into the tournament, joining the No. 6 seed Indiana, No. 4 Maryland, Michigan, and Washington.
This is UCLA's 50th overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and fifth in a row under seventh-year head coach Ryan Jorden. The Bruins are making their fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
UCLA is 76-45 all-time in the NCA Tournament, and have won four College Cups.
This year's College Cup will be held in Cary, North Carolina on December 12 and 15.
