Nine Bruins Honored with Big Ten Postseason Awards

November 04, 2025 | Women's Soccer

The UCLA women's soccer team placed six players on the all-conference team and three on the all-freshman team, led by Big Ten Freshman of the Year Bella Winn

Winn received multiple honors to go along with her Freshman of the Year award. She was also named to the All-Big Ten second team and was a unanimous selection to the All-Freshman Team. The redshirt freshman from Ridgewood, N.J. leads UCLA in scoring with seven goals, 16 points and four game-winning goals. She has played in all 18 games, making 13 starts. A year ago, she started and played in just two games before suffering a season-ending injury. Winn has a total of eight goals and 19 points in just 20 career games. She was the only freshman selected to the All-Big Ten team and is UCLA's second consecutive Big Ten Freshman of the Year, following 2024 winner Nicki Fraser.

Two Bruin seniors earned first-team All-Big Ten honors – midfielder Emma Egizii and defender Jennie Immethun. Like Winn, Egizii came back from a season-ending injury in 2024. Egizii, who hails from Downey, Calif., leads the Bruins with six assists and is second in goals scored with three and in points with 12. This is her first career all-conference honor. Immethun earns her second career all-conference award. She was a second-team All-Big 12 honoree at TCU a year ago. The San Jose, Calif. native has started every game for the Bruins and leads the team in minutes played with 1,598. Immethun has been an integral part of UCLA's nation-leading defense that has allowed just six goals this season for a 0.33 team goals against average.

Selected to the third team were sophomore forward Kara Croone (Brookhaven, Ga.), senior midfielder America Frias (San Jose, Calif.) and sophomore defender Paloma Daubert (Rescue, Calif.), all of whom received their first career honors. Croone has played in every game this season, scoring two goals with two assists. All but one assist was recorded in conference play. Frias joins Immethun as the only Bruins to start in every game and log over 1,500 minutes of play. Daubert has played in all 18 games and made 16 starts. She ranks third on the team in minutes played with 1,382 and has helped the Bruin defense record 12 shutouts, tops in the Big Ten and fourth-most in the nation.

Joining Winn on the All-Freshman team were midfielder Grace Shank (McLean, Va.) and goalkeeper Daphne Nakfoor (Carlsbad, Calif.). Shank has played in all 18 games and made 13 starts at a variety of positions. She has scored one goal with one assist this season. Nakfoor leads the Big Ten and ranks third in the nation with a 0.40 goals against average. She has recorded six solo and five shared shutouts this year while posting a 9-4-2 record.

Additionally, redshirt senior Lexi Wright was awarded a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, which honors student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. Wright, who earlier in the year was named a winner of the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Fall), came back for a fifth year after suffering a season-ending injury in 2024. She has scored one goal with one assist in 13 games played.

UCLA is tied with Washington for the most players on the All-Big Ten team with six. The Bruins also have the most players on the All-Freshman team with three.
