Nine Bruins have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Teams, which recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom.
ย
Men's volleyball player Matthew Aziz and men's golfers Pablo Ereño and Luke Powell have been selected to the Men's At-Large Team. The Women's At-Large Team includes six Bruins from three sports โ€“ Emma Malabuyo and Brooklyn Moors from gymnastics; Maggie Boyd, Peri Brennan, and Natalie Myszkowski from beach volleyball; and Emma Lineback from women's water polo.
ย
All six of UCLA's women's student-athletes are eligible for CSC Academic All-America honors, while Ereño from the men's golf program is eligible on the men's side.
ย
Aziz, a redshirt junior from Burbank, Calif. made 24 starts during the Bruins' 2025 campaign. UCLA earned its third consecutive NCAA men's volleyball championship match appearance. Aziz played at libero while the Bruins were serving primarily, and he recorded 90 digs on the year. He tallied four or more digs in 14 appearances and had a season-high eight digs in the Bruins' five-set win at Grand Canyon on April 5. Aziz played in every NCAA Tournament match for UCLA and secured MPSF All-Academic honors.

As a senior on the men's golf team, Ereño secured third-team All-America honors from Golfweek and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) after having been named the 2025 Big Ten Men's Golfer of the Year. Ereño, hailing from Madrid, Spain, finished in sixth place at the 2025 NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif., becoming UCLA's first golfer to finish among the nation's top 10 since Lorens Chan in 2014. He competed in every tournament for the Bruins and concluded the season with a team-best scoring average of 70.2. This is the third consecutive season in which Ereño has been honored on the Academic All-District Team.
ย
Powell, a sophomore from Laguna Niguel, Calif., competed in 10 golf tournaments for UCLA. He registered a scoring average of 73.5 and had four rounds under par with one top-20 finish (at The Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate in Oct. 2024). This marks Powell's first time being recognized on the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team.
ย
Malabuyo, a senior from Milipitas, Calif., was the NCAA balance beam runner-up in 2025 and helped lead UCLA to a second-place finish at the NCAA Championships and to the Big Ten regular season and championship titles. A first-team All-Big Ten selection and AAI Award nominee, Malabuyo had a team-high five event victories on the balance beam and 12 Top 2 finishes in 2025. The 2024 Philippines Olympian and four-time All-American was UCLA's honoree for the 2025 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award and was included on the Winter Academic All-Big Ten team, her third conference academic honor of her career. Malabuyo was a finalist and sport winner for the 2025 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar and is now a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree.
ย
Moors, a graduate student from Cambridge, Ontario, won the NCAA and Big Ten floor exercise titles in 2025 and was named the College Gym News Breakout Performer of the Year. She scored her first career perfect 10 on floor at the Big Ten Championships and also set new career highs on vault with a 9.925 at the NCAA Regional semifinal and on beam with a 9.900 three times. Moors, a 2020 Canadian Olympian, earned first-team All-America honors on floor during the regular season and in the postseason and was a first-team All-Big Ten selection, a Big Ten All-Championships team honoree and an Academic All-Big selection in 2025. She has also earned three WCGA Scholastic All-America honors in her career and was a three-time member of the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll.
ย
Lineback, a redshirt junior attacker, received second-team All-America honors this season after leading the team in scoring with 102 points with a team-high 50 assists (fourth in the MPSF). The two-time All-America selection also earned first-team All-MPSF honors in 2025 and was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team after scoring 10 goals in the Bruins' two games.
ย
Boyd, a junior from Flower Mound, Texas, is a three-time first-team All-America honoree and was named the MPSF Player of the Year in 2025. Additionally, she was one-half of the MPSF Pair of the Year and was a first-team All-MPSF selection after going 32-4 on the year (31-4 on court one).
