NORMAN, Okla. – Sophomore Baylor Larrabee and freshman Josh Kim have earned PING All-West Region honors, as announced on Saturday by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Larrabee and Kim were honored as All-Big Ten Men's Golf selections earlier this month. They are two of the 25 men's golfers who have secured PING All-West Region accolades this season.
Larrabee, the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2025, secured all-league honors for the second-straight season, as he was a second-team honoree last season. This marks the first season in which he has earned All-West Region acclaim by the GCAA.
Kim was honored as this season's Big Ten Freshman of the Year after having won his first collegiate medal at the Big Ten Championships, hosted at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Oregon.
Headed into the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif., Kim and Larrabee had registered the Bruins' two best scoring averages this season – Kim with a 70.6 average in nine tournaments, and Larrabee with a 71.1 scoring average in all 12 tournaments. Kim shot a season-best 8-under 202 at the Big Ten Championships from May 1-3, finishing in first place by four strokes. He has totaled two top-10 finishes and 11 rounds under 70.
Larrabee has tallied four top-10 finishes during his sophomore season with 12 rounds under 70. Larrabee and teammate Tyler Loree were tied for seventh place at the Big Ten Championships, carding 2-under 208. Larrabee had a third-place finish in late January at the Southwestern Invitational in Westlake Village, Calif., and a fourth-place finish in the fall at the Fighting Irish Classic.
Both Kim and Larrabee shot under par in the Bruins' opening round on Friday at the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif. Larrabee finished 5-under 67, in fourth place on the individual leaderboard. Kim carded 1-under 71 through the opening round.
