The UCLA football program, led by new head coach Bob Chesney, signed 40 student-athletes during the 15-day NCAA transfer portal window from Jan. 2-16. The incoming transfer class was ranked No. 11 in the nation and No. 2 in the Big Ten Conference by recruiting outlet On3.com. The student-athletes listed below are set to compete for the Bruins in the upcoming 2026-27 season.

The group addressed three crucial position needs at defensive line (9 signees), offensive line (8) and wideout (6). Five of those offensive linemen bring quality experience, starting a least 10 games on the FBS level at their previous institutions. Ten players are following Chesney from James Madison, where the group reached the College Football Playoff and won the Sun Belt Conference last year. Six of UCLA's signees were four-star recruits out of high school, and two of them were four-stars as transfer recruits.

Chesney and UCLA also managed to retain key players from the 2025 roster, keeping quarterback Nico Iamaleava, offensive lineman Eugene Brooks and defensive backs Rodrick Pleasant, Scooter Jackson and Cole Martin in Westwood.
