Former UCLA football standouts Jake Bobo (Seattle Seahawks) and Quentin Lake (Los Angeles Rams) battled for a spot in Super Bowl LX on Sunday, with Seattle hanging on for a 31-27 victory at home to set up a showdown with the New England Patriots.
Seahawks running back and UCLA alum Zach Charbonnet did not suit up on Sunday after tearing his ACL in the team's divisional round win over San Francisco, but was a key part in Seattle's successful season with 12 rushing touchdowns, tied for sixth-most in the league. In addition, tight end Marcedes Lewis, who appeared in five games this season for Denver, saw his season come to an end with a 10-7 loss to New England in the AFC Championship Game.
Super Bowl LX is set for a 3:40 p.m. PT kickoff on Sunday, Feb. 8 from Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The game will appear on NBC, with MIke Tirico and Chris Collinsworth on the call.
• Jake Bobo, WR, Seattle Seahawks – Bobo made one catch on Sunday, but it was a big one as it went for a 17-yard touchdown early in the third quarter. The touchdown made the score 24-13 in the Seahawks' favor, tied for their largest lead of the game. It was his first TD catch of the year, and also marked his first-career playoff touchdown. Bobo added one tackle on special teams, coming up with a stop on the final kickoff of the first half.
