LOS ANGELES – The No. 22 UCLA Swimming and Diving squad heads to the Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships on Feb. 18-21 inside the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
The meet begins Wednesday (Feb. 18) evening with the first set of finals in the 200-yard medley relay and 800-yard freestyle relay. The following three days will consist of two sessions, with preliminaries in the morning to determine final seeding for the evening session. Fans can stream all seven sessions via the B1G+ digital platform.
Indiana is the top-ranked team coming into the meet at No. 7, ahead of No. 10 Michigan, No. 12 USC, No. 13 Wisconsin, No. 14 Ohio State, No. 23 UCLA and No. 24 Minnesota.

The Season so Far
UCLA heads into the Big Ten Championships ranked No. 22 in the nation, after a strong performance in their final duals of the year against USC and Nevada.
At the UC San Diego Quad Meet, the Bruins defeated both UC San Diego, 165-92, and Tulane, 211-46, before falling to No. 15 Wisconsin. UCLA then showed their strength at the Bruin Quad Meet the next weekend, racking up wins against Utah, Iowa, and UC Santa Barbara.
Despite falling to Stanford and Cal in mid-January, several Bruins made an impact. In the dual against Stanford, Claudia Yovanovich set a facility record in the 400 medley relay, earning a time of 51.67 in the 100 backstroke.
Rose Murphy made history against Cal, winning multiple events throughout the day while setting a school record in the 200 back. Murphy finished second place in the 200 free while Jada Duncan recorded UCLA's first individual event win of the day in the 50 free, followed by a second-place finish in the 100 free. Murphy recorded a new school record time in the 200 back, beating her previous record with 1:51.59, over six seconds faster than the rest of the field (followed by Erica Jaffe at 1:57.86). Not finished yet, Murphy claimed her second individual event win in the 200 IM, concluding the day with a 1:55.18 time.
