Los Angeles native won two singles matches as UCLA earned home sweep of Wisconsin, Nebraska.

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Cassius Chinlund of UCLA men's tennis earned his first Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor Wednesday, the conference announced. The redshirt freshman clinched both ends of the Bruins' home sweep of Wisconsin (March 20 – 6-1) and Nebraska (March 22 – 6-0).

Chinlund topped Matthew Fullerton of the Badgers 6-1, 7-5 on Court 6, completing a turnaround after UCLA dropped the doubles point. Elevated to Court 5 the next day, Chinlund cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Henry Lamchinniah of the Cornhuskers. Chinlund, who lost his dual doubles debut in the Nebraska match, is now 9-2 in dual singles contests and 13-3 dating back to tournament play.
