ROSEMONT, Ill. – Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer of the UCLA women's tennis team was named Big Ten Player of the Week for the second time in as many weeks Wednesday, the conference announced. It is the fourth of her career dating back to the 2024-25 season.

Lutkemeyer clinched an emphatic top-10 win against USC (Feb. 27), taking down the nation's 32nd-ranked player in the process. The No. 5 Bruins would go on to beat their eighth-ranked crosstown rivals by a 6-1 margin. UCLA has won four matches in a row.

Lutkemeyer's deciding victory, a 6-3, 7-6(4) triumph over Jana Hossam on Court 1, made the score 4-0. Lutkemeyer is now 4-0 this season (all dual matches) opposite nationally-ranked singles foes. She also neared a doubles victory alongside partner Ahmani Guichard, but the pair had its match abandoned.

Lutkemeyer and freshman Mayu Crossley earned a repeat sweep of the Big Ten's Player and Freshman of the Week honors Wednesday. Lutkemeyer is the first two-time Player of the Week in 2025-26. UCLA is the only program with four. Crossley won Feb. 4, while Ahmani Guichard was selected Sept. 24, 2025.
