UCLA's NCAA Academic Progress Rates (APR) remained at high levels for the 2021-22 through 2024-25 period, with five teams recognized as having rates in the top 10 percent of their sport. A total of 16 Bruin teams recorded scores above the national four-year rate of 986, and UCLA's average multi-year rate for its 23 teams was 989, three points higher than a year ago. UCLA's single-year average was 991.
Each academic year, every Division I sports team's APR is calculated using a simple and consistent formula. Scholarship student-athletes can earn points for staying on course for a degree in their chosen major and points for being retained (or graduating) at the end of each academic term.
Five UCLA teams received recognition for having multi-year rates in the Top 10 percent of their sports. Women's basketball, beach volleyball, women's cross country, men's golf and women's golf all earned perfect scores of 1,000. This is the ninth consecutive year for beach volleyball, fifth-straight year for women's cross country and second-straight year for women's golf. Men's golf earned its first 1,000 multi-year rate since 2004-05, and women's basketball earned its first ever. This marks the most teams with a perfect multi-year rate since 2016-17, when UCLA had seven. A total of 15 teams either improved or matched their multi-year rate from a year ago.
