OKLAHOMA CITY – Eight members of the UCLA softball program have been selected to represent the U.S. Women's National Team (WNT) Program at two international events in 2026 – the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) World Cup Group C Stage Event and the USA Softball International Cup. USA Softball announced the rosters for both events on Wednesday.

WBSC World Cup Group C Stage (Sept. 12-16)
Selected by the U.S. Women's National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC), former Bruins Maya Brady, Rachel Garcia and Megan Grant were named to the 16-player roster for the 2026 WBSC World Cup Group C Stage. Team USA will compete Sept. 12-16 at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.

World No. 2 USA will face No. 6 Netherlands, No. 7 Mexico, No. 8 China, No. 23 New Zealand and No. 36 South Africa in Group C play. The top two teams from each group, along with two wild-card teams, will advance to the WBSC World Cup in Redcliffe, Australia, held in April 2027.

With her selection to the roster, Grant has been added to the U.S. Women's National Team (USWNT) pool. Grant last competed for Team USA at the Japan All-Star Series in 2023 and 2024.

USA Softball International Cup (July 30-Aug. 5)
Rising redshirt sophomore infielder Aleena Garcia will join UCLA alumnae Ally Carda, Megan Faraimo, Bubba Nickles-Camarena and Sharlize Palacios on Team USA's roster for the USA Softball International Cup. Formerly known as the World Cup of Softball, the tournament returns to Oklahoma City from July 30-Aug. 5 after a six-year hiatus.

Since the event's inception in 2005, Team USA has compiled an 83-7 all-time record and captured 11 of the tournament's 14 championships, with Japan winning the remaining three titles.

Aleena Garcia will experience her first international competition after being invited to the USWNT training camp in Oklahoma City in November 2025. She helped Team USA prepare for the USA Down Under Series, a set of exhibition games held in Brisbane, Australia, from Dec. 31, 2025, through Jan. 3, 2026.
