National champions win seventh AVCA Team Academic Award.

The national champion UCLA beach volleyball team earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for 2026. The award honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

The Bruins have received the Team Academic Award seven times in program history. This is the third time that UCLA has won both the Academic Award and the NCAA Championship (also in 2018 and 2019).

UCLA has earned a multitude of academic awards this season, highlighted by Maggie Boyd becoming the school’s first-ever Academic All-American of the Year. A total of 12 Bruins earned Academic All-Big Ten acclaim (3.0 or higher cumulative GPA): Boyd, Ensley Alden, Kenzie Brower, Cassie Dodd, Alexa Fernandez, Hannah Fleming, Taylor Ford, Kaley Mathews, Adelina Okazaki, Sally Perez, Jayla Shanks and  Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Harper Cooper. Additionally, seven players were named to the MPSF All-Academic Team (3.0 or higher cumulative GPA, 50% or more competition rate) – Alden, Boyd, Brower, Cooper, Fernandez, Mathews and Perez.
