LOS ANGELES – The UCLA men’s water polo program, winner of the past two NCAA championships, starts its 2026 season Aug. 29 in La Jolla, Calif. The Bruins play the first of nine home games Sept. 12.

Fans can get their first glimpse of head coach Adam Wright’s team Aug. 22 at Spieker Aquatics Center with the annual Blue vs. Gold exhibition. Play begins at 1:30 p.m. PT, with the Alumni Game following at 3 p.m.

An exhibition contest with California in Coronado, Calif. takes place on the eve of UCLA’s season opener at the Triton Invitational. The Bruins start their regular season with five dates up and down the state of California before kicking off home action.

UC Santa Barbara and LMU visit Spieker for the UCLA Mini Invite Sept. 12. UCLA plays UCSB in the opener and squares off with LMU soon after. UCSB and LMU meet in the day’s finale.

Stanford hosts the MPSF Invitational Sept. 18-20. The Bruins return home Sept. 25 for a matchup with Fordham before heading up the coast to meet Pepperdine.

MPSF play starts Oct. 3 and 4, when Stanford and Cal travel south. UCLA then meets Golden West College and California Baptist in a home doubleheader Oct. 10 before hitting the road for showdowns with USC (Oct. 17), Cal (Oct. 31) and Stanford (Nov. 1). The regular season winds down with home games versus UC San Diego and USC.

The MPSF Championship Tournament is set for Nov. 20-22 at USC’s Uytengsu Aquatics Center. The 2026 National Collegiate Men’s Water Polo Championship will be held at UCSD’s Canyonview Aquatic Center from Dec. 4-6.
