OOLTEWAH, Tenn. – Rising junior Jen Lee of the UCLA women’s golf team is set to compete in the 126th U.S. Women’s Amateur at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tenn., from Aug. 4-9.

Lee, one of 156 amateurs in the field, will tee off for the first round on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 10:54 a.m. PT from the first hole. Following a second round of stroke play on Wednesday, the field will be cut to 64 players for match play, which begins Thursday. Golf Channel will televise the match play portion of the championship from Aug. 6-9.

Lee, who competed in the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open as a 15-year-old, will be making her U.S. Women’s Amateur debut. She enters the week ranked No. 53 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

Lee emerged as one of UCLA's most consistent performers in her first season in Westwood, quickly establishing herself as one of the Bruins' top players after transferring from Baylor. The Osan, South Korea, native earned All-Big Ten First Team honors, captured her first collegiate individual title at the Windy City Collegiate Classic and ranked second on the team with a 72.6 scoring average. Lee also led UCLA with 16 rounds under par and seven rounds in the 60s, adding three top-10 finishes while earning Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week honors twice. Her steady play and ability to produce low rounds provided UCLA with a dependable presence at the top of its lineup throughout the season.

The U.S. Women’s Amateur champion will receive a gold medal and custody of the Robert Cox Trophy for one year while earning an exemption into the 2027 U.S. Women’s Open at Inverness Club. The winner also is expected to receive exemptions into the 2027 Augusta National Women’s Amateur, Chevron Championship, AIG Women’s Open and Amundi Evian Championship.

Three former Bruins have won the U.S. Women’s Amateur four times: Mariajo Uribe (2007), Jane Park (2004) and Kay Cockerill (1987, 1986). UCLA’s last semifinalist was Annabel Wilson in 2022.
