Second-year Cleveland Browns linebacker Carson Schwesinger, the reigning AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, added a tackle for loss and a quarterback hit. Los Angeles Rams captain Quentin Lake also recorded a team-high 10 tackles, three passes defensed and the second interception of his career.
- Ka’imi Fairbairn, K, Houston Texans – Fairbairn drilled a 58-yard field goal in Houston’s season opener against the Buffalo Bills and converted all four PATs. His field goal gave the Texans a 31-30 lead with 6:44 remaining in the fourth quarter. Fairbairn ranked second in the NFL last season with 160 points and tied the NFL single-season record with 44 made field goals.
Week 2: Sunday vs. Cincinnati – 10 a.m. PT (CBS) - Jake Brendel, C, San Francisco 49ers – Brendel was San Francisco’s opening-day starter at center and secured his first career reception on the ricochet of a batted pass, gaining two yards. He helped the 49ers beat the Los Angeles Rams, 27-7, in Melbourne, Australia. San Francisco did not allow a sack and rushed for 174 yards in the victory.
Week 2: Sunday vs. Miami – 1:25 p.m. PT (FOX) - Kenny Clark, DT, Dallas Cowboys – Clark recorded two solo tackles in Dallas’ 28-20 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

- Matt Dickerson, DT, Jacksonville Jaguars – Dickerson assisted on a tackle off the bench in Jacksonville’s 34-10 victory over Cleveland.
Week 2: Sunday at Denver – 1:05 p.m. PT (CBS) - Greg Dulcich, TE, Miami Dolphins – Dulcich hauled in two catches for 18 yards in his start for Miami against Las Vegas.
Week 2: Sunday at San Francisco – 1:25 p.m. PT (FOX) - Carl Jones, LB, Baltimore Ravens – Elevated from the practice squad for Week 1, Jones tallied two solo tackles on special teams in Baltimore’s 41-23 victory over Indianapolis. His second tackle prevented a touchdown on a late fourth-quarter kickoff return.
Week 2: Sunday vs. New Orleans – 10 a.m. PT (CBS) - Quentin Lake, S, Los Angeles Rams – Lake, the Rams’ defensive captain, led his team with 10 tackles, including seven solo stops, and added three passes defensed and his second career interception in Los Angeles’ loss to San Francisco.
