LOS ANGELES – UCLA fifth-year senior Jamar Brown has named as an NCAA Division I Academic All-District selection, as recognized by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
Brown has secured Academic All-District honors for the second straight season. He was named an Academic All-District section as a fourth-year senior last spring at UMKC. He transferred to UCLA as a fifth-year senior last summer and averaged 3.8 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for the Bruins in 2025-26. Brown was one of two UCLA players, along with Xavier Booker, to have played in all 36 games for UCLA.
Brown, who grew up in Chandler, Ariz., enrolled in a graduate level marketing program at UCLA this season. Student-athletes who are honored as Academic All-District selections must have compiled a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student. In addition, in the sports of men's and women's basketball, the student-athlete must have participated in a minimum of 90 percent of the team's games (or started in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions).
Brown spent his first two athletic seasons at Phoenix College (in Arizona) before excelling as a junior and senior at UMKC (University of Missouri Kansas City). He spent this final year of eligibility with UCLA in 2025-26.
Some of the Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot later on in the spring.
