UCLA Gymnastics Adds Jolyn Valeros to 2027 Squad

Level 10 standout Jolyn Valeros will join UCLA for the 2027 gymnastics season, The R.C. Rothman UCLA Head Gymnastics Coach Janelle McDonald announced Monday.
A native of Chino Hills, Calif., Valeros trains at Gymnastics Olympica and is a five-time Development Program National qualifier. In 2026, she finished sixth on beam at the Level 10 Region 1 Championships and was fourth at the State Championships. She placed fifth on bars at the 2025 Region 1 Championships.ย
Valeros competed at the Level 10 Nationals three times as a junior. In 2024, she earned an eighth-place finish on beam and recorded Top 15 finishes on vault and beam in 2023 and on bars in 2021. She qualified for junior elite in 2023. ย
"We are excited to officially add Jolyn to our Bruin family. It is always so special when LA's best athletes become Bruins and stay close to home," said McDonald. "Jolyn has a positive outlook and a warm personality that she brings into each day. Her gymnastics is beautiful to watch with artistic details and a strong skill set. I'm so excited for Jolyn to join us in Westwood this fall!"
Valeros will join previously-signed Brooke Katz, Zoey Molomo, Michelle Pineda, Madison Stewart and Cami Tassone as freshmen in the fall.ย
